The Merchant Hotel, Belfast, Wins ‘Best UK Hotel’ at International Hotel Awards

The Merchant Hotel, Belfast is celebrating after being named, ‘Best UK Hotel’ at the International Hotel Awards in association with Bloomberg Television; the hospitality industry’s most prestigious awards.

The luxurious 5-star accommodation joined other high profile hotels such as The Savoy and Chewton Glen, Hampshire at a glittering ceremony in the newly refurbished Savoy Hotel in London to receive the highly acclaimed accolade.

The inaugural UK Hotel Awards 2012 in association with Bloomberg Television aim to recognise excellence in the hotel and hospitality industry worldwide to promote an international standard.

Attaining one of these coveted awards is indisputable evidence that The Merchant Hotel is capable of competing against exceedingly strong contenders within the keenly competitive International hospitality arena.

The luxury hotel, which was this week cited in Fodor’s ’21 places to go in 2012’ went on to compete against other regional category winners from Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa, the Americas and Arabia to find the Best International Hotel with Dubai’s One & Only, The Palm being crowned the ultimate winner.
