TWP’s Four Week Campaign Delivers Boost Trecem Wire Products, part of the EU Steel Group, reports a significant strengthening of its presence in the Iberian market, following an intensive four week campaign. TWP General Manager, Dr. Nuno Branco, said: “Focusing on TWP’s recent MITC accreditation, we presented the integrated strength of TWP as part of the EU Steel Group. We made the argument that we can compete on cost, quality and delivery with indigenous Spanish companies - and the market listened.” “The speed and value of the initial response was surprising. Our efforts have been focused on a sustained campaign to persuade Spanish steel consumers that TWP is every bit as good as their current supplier. TWP’s assessment was that the economic crisis presented an opportunity to realign commercial relationships; where cost pressures are now more intense than ever, our thinking was that buyers would look more closely at alternatives. We will continue with this message throughout 2010, but we are already processing firm results.” Branco added: “Immediately after our first press release, we received a number of strong leads which we have since followed through with. One of our first visits was to a Spanish customer’s premises, where our objective was to better understand their activities and needs.
