Mark Weir Appoined FD at Sound Specialists APT
Belfast based audio compression specialist has strengthened its Senior Management team with the appointment of Mark Weir as Financial Director.
APT Managing Director Noel McKenna said, “Marks appointment is part of our long term expansion strategy for the business and follows an extremely successful year for the company. I’m delighted to say that 2008 is shaping up to be just as promising. These are exciting times for APT. We are moving to new premises at the end of the month and plan to recruit an additional 20 staff this year.”

Weir brings more than 10 years experience to the company having qualified as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland in 1998. Since qualifying Weir has held positions with a number of companies, most recently as Finance Director of Motis Ireland Limited, a large shipping agent. Prior to joining Motis he was Vice President of Finance at UPU Industries and Financial Controller at both UTA Enterprise Solutions and Celluarfones Ltd.
