Deluxe Group Reports Strong Retail Sector Growth - Launches New Website
The Deluxe Group, an international interior design and fit-out company founded in Portadown, Northern Ireland, has reported a significant growth in the retail sector, expanding its retail client base by 30 percent in the last year.
The Portadown-based business has also increased its share of the local and international leisure, entertainment and hospitality sectors.
In line with this growth, The Deluxe Group plans to considerably expand its base in Northern Ireland by developing a 35,000 square foot, adjacent to its current Headquarters and Creative Studio base. Plans for the new development are to be completed fully over the next three years.
To reflect its thriving and diverse offering, the company has also launched a new website incorporating case studies from a range of new and existing clients and projects the company has worked with including the House of Fraser, the Crown Plaza Group and the Fitzwilliam Hotel.
Colm O’Farrell, Managing Director of the Deluxe Group commented, “Whilst no company can rest on its laurels in this difficult trading environment, we are delighted with our recent growth and are confident that expansion plans will pay off. This has come about from sheer hard work and tenacity in the local and international marketplace; coupled with an ability to really prove return on investment for our clients.”
He continued: “We are particularly fortunate that our business has grown significantly in the both the retail and hospitality sectors with a very positive forecast. In the past our focus has been very much on the hospitality marketplace; with 80 percent of our clients fitting into this category. Over the past twelve months this has balanced to a 50/50 split in hospitality and retail.”
The Deluxe Group’s growth in the retail sector is against a backdrop of record losses in the retail industry with many chains blaming heavy price-cutting and discounts as a major contributor and some being forced going into administration. A recent Deloitte survey, published in January 2009, however stated that retailers who will remain successful during these times will be those that find a way to enhance the customer experience.
Colm O’Farrell concluded: “We’ve found this to be true in not only the Irish and UK marketplace but also on an international level. The message is clear – there is a strong demand for quality and innovation in design and build in the retail industry for those wanting to keep ahead of the game with their customer offering.”
The Deluxe Group has clients across Northern Ireland, GB and The Republic of Ireland as well as in Europe, the US and Middle East. A focus on a clear and simple philosophy - “Be the best by being different” - has also seen it diversify into office developments and exclusive luxury residential developments.
